Matthew Creek
Senior Trial Attorney
Matthew was born and raised in the Permian Basin region of West Texas. He attended the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, earning both a BA and MA in history. While pursuing his MA, he was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate Student for his academic performance by university faculty. After graduating, Matthew founded a pipeline construction and service company, Creek Pipe Company, LLC.
As president of Creek Pipe Company, Matthew helped expand and grow the company until it was purchased in 2017. Matthew then attended SMU Dedman School of Law, earning a juris doctor degree. During his time at SMU, Matthew was a member of the SMU Criminal Law Society and represented indigent defendants for the SMU Criminal Law Clinic. After law school, Matthew worked for the Collin County District Attorney’s Office, where he became the chief misdemeanor prosecutor of three different county courts before being promoted to felony prosecutor.
